Snow!

Yes, that’s right.  We woke this morning to snow in the valley.

Despite the cold weather, Ava and I had a pretty fun day.  We went walking in the mall with a group of moms and their babies.  Ava surprisingly stayed in her stroller for about 45 minutes.  Then I ended up carrying her and pushing the stroller while the other babies stayed happily in their strollers for another 1/2 hour or so (that’s okay though.. Ava is just ambitious, which is a wonderful trait to have!).  Then, to my surprise Nancy and Roger called asking if they could watch Ava so that I could go knitting.  Now how lucky am I?  People actually call and REQUEST to watch my baby (Grandma Edee does that too).  Ava had the best time.  She hardly acknowledged my existence when I returned to pick her up.

I tried cloth diapers and both Ava and I love them.  I only have 2 problems, her clothes don’t fit as well and I am still trying to figure out a nighttime solution.  So far she has not wet through her pajamas and onto the bed, but her PJ’s are a bit damp in the morning and that bothers me.  I ordered some stuff online for more absorbancy so we will see if that helps.

Scott has been great about making the switch.  He hasn’t complained at all!

Jenn I am really glad that you had a good day with Ava, and yes you are lucky to have grandparents around:) I was actually looking forward to read your experience on cloth diapers, as I feel inspired by you on using them. I will see how much they cost here and maybe give it a try…

    Love,

What a darling little derriere! Jenn, I admire you for giving cloth diapers a try.
I remember using them on the boys…..they weren’t bad until they had a messy one, then I would have given practically anything to have a disposable diaper!
